Who is HealthCorps?
HealthCorps is a 501(c)(3) national non-profit founded by Dr. Mehmet Oz to equip students with the tools to be resilient in mind and body. At the core of our programming, HealthCorps deploys young adults to schools and communities across the country to change the culture of health and wellness so they can live happier, healthier lives. The HealthCorps curriculum is an evidence-based tool focused on fitness, nutrition, mental resilience, and community engagement.

What is Wellness Day?
HealthCorps’ Wellness Day was created to bring health and wellness to everyone in the community, carrying HeathCorps’ mission beond school walls. Houston Wellness Day is a place to learn from and connect with the best in the local and national wellness industry. This summit includes a day of workshops, interactive breakout sessions, and a panel discussion that will cover a variety of mind/body topics. Healthy eats, a gift bag, and a raffle will be available to all attendees as well.
When and where is it?
The 2nd Annual Houston Wellness Day event will take place on Friday, September 27, 2019 from 10AM – 3PM CT at the United Way of Greater Houston (50 Waugh Drive, Houston, TX 77007).
How much does it cost?
Houston Wellness Day is a FREE event thanks to the Holthouse Foundation for Kids and our kind sponsors. However, spacing is limited so registration is required. Please register on our ticketing site here.
What’s the schedule for the day? Do I need to register for anything?
The schedule for the day will be provided soon. We’ll send an email with instructions for scheduling breakout sessions in advance, so please check your email weeks prior to the event.
What should I wear?
Wear whatever you’re comfortable in! However, if you sign up for the Black Swan Yoga breakout session, please wear appropriate yoga attire and bring your own yoga mat!
What meals are included?
Complimentary coffee service, water, lunch, and snacks will be provided! Be sure to alert us of any dietary restrictions during registration.
Will there be parking?
The United Way of Greater Houston does offer FREE parking. The parking garage and handicapped parking are off Faegan driveway near Waugh Drive. The open parking lot is off of Faegan. Please find directions from the United Way of Greater Houston website here.
